Site Information
South Texas Project Electric Generating Station (STP) has two PWR units and is located 90 miles southwest of Houston, TX.
South Texas is operated by the STP Nuclear Operating Company (STPNOC). Ownership is divided among NRG Energy, San Antonio municipal utility CPS Energy and Austin Energy. The two units went into service in 1988 and 1989 and generate 2,560 MW.
