Site Information
The Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant produced enriched uranium used by commercial nuclear reactors. The site is located in southern Ohio, 91 miles south of Columbus and 106 miles east of Cininnati.
The site is federally owned and managed by the Department of Energy. Decontamination and decommissioning of the site began in 2011.
