Cooper Nuclear Station is the largest single unit electrical generator in Nebraska. It is located in Brownville, NE, 77 miles south of Omaha and 125 miles northwest of Kansas City, MO.
The site is owned and operated by Nebraska Public Power District (NPPD) and is part of Entergy Nuclear. The unit was put into service in 1974, and generates 810 MW.
