Brunswick Nuclear Plant includes two nuclear reactors located in Southport, NC, 31 miles south of Wilmington, NC.
The site is owned and operated by Duke Energy. The units were put into service in 1975 and generate 1,870 MW.

Directions coming in on Interstate 40 into Wilmington:
- Take Hwy 17 South on Market Street.
- Follow Hwy 17 signs past Leland N.C
- In about 13 to 15 miles you will see a Hwy 87-Southport/Long Beach.
- Turn left off highway 17 and follow into Southport.
- Progress Energy will be on the left coming into town.

- Continue on Shelby Rd. Turn right at Vestibule Church Rd.
- Turn left at Commerce Blvd.
- Take 1st right onto Beason Creek Rd.
Directions from Greenville/Spartanburg:
- Take I-85 North.
- Take Exit 5 for Dixon School Rd.
- Turn left onto Dixon School Rd
- Stay straight to go onto Kings Mountain Blvd
- Turn left onto Shelby Rd/US-74 BUS
