Brown’s Ferry is a 3 unit GE designed BWR located on Wheeler Lake in Decatur, Alabama, 14 miles southwest of Athens, AL and 41 miles east of Huntsville.
The plant is owned and operated by Tennessee Valley Authority. The first unit was put into service in 1973 and together the 3 units generate 3,775 MW.
